The Watercooler, with Toby and Dave
We meet our favourite podcasters!
In the morning, Willemijn visits some people at the linguistics department of Canterbury University. Then we head to the coast, to see a place we only knew from a poststamp-sized webcam picture: Sumner. It's a bit chilly and there's a fairly strong onshore wind, so I guess no surfing today.
Later, we meet our all time favourite podcasters: Toby and Dave from The Voicebooth. I'm honoured to be part of one of their Watercooler podcasts. What a great time we have! Toby and Dave are even nicer and friendlier in person than on mp3. I'm very proud to be their Podcast Listener Number One!
After our podcast - our visit at The Voice Booth is short but certainly sweet - we drive to Akaroa on the Banks peninsula, south east of Christchurch. It's really windy and our camper has a high top, so we're blown all over the road. With white knuckles we hold the steering wheel and slowly make our way to the shelter of the hills near Akaroa.
