To Wanaka

a long drive

Mount Scott, near Arrowtown

Another long drive. We have to be in Wellington six days from now, and we want to have enough time to see Abel Tasman national park. Anyways, there's not much to tell about today. We're driving and stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery. We have lunch in Queenstown where we also buy a very nice and very warm Merino wool skin layer. "Technical Clothing", as Dave, an english guy we will meet three days from now, calls it.

Near mount Scott, near Arrowtown

Remember when we said we'd rather be on top of the mountain ranges we were driving through a couple of days ago? Well, this is the time. Indeed, it's much more beautiful from up here.

We camp near Wanaka, on a deserted campsite with sub-standard kitchen and washing facilities, especially for New Zealand standards.
